The Hamas terrorist group announced the death of a brigade major in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip.
Issuing a statement, Hamas says Ayman Nofal, a member of the militant group's General Military Council and head of the Central Gaza Brigade of its military wing, was killed in an attack in the Burij refugee camp.
The Israel Defense Forces have not yet commented on the apparent killing.
