The deputy head of Hezbollah has said that he is fully ready to support Hamas in the war against Israel.
“When the time comes, they will intervene,” he said during a rally on the outskirts of Beirut.
On the other hand, amid tension on Israel's northern border, Iran's Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdullahiyan visited neighboring Lebanon on Friday and met Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
He said that a collective response can be given to the ongoing war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
There were already fears that if Hezbollah joined attacks on Israel in support of its Palestinian allies, a third front could open.
Like Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah has been declared an extremist organization by Britain, America and other western countries.
Hezbollah has considerable influence in the Lebanese army and politics and is also close to Iran.
