The Israel Defense Forces said an airstrike on the Nour Shams refugee camp in the West Bank on Wednesday night targeted "an armed terrorist group." 'Many terrorists' have died in this attack.
Earlier, the Palestinian Territory's Health Ministry had said that six people had died in the Nour Shams clash with the Israeli army in the West Bank.
The IDF said in a statement that so far Israeli security forces have detained 10 'wanted suspects'. Also, many 'explosive devices have been defused, which are ready for use.'
The IDF also said there was an exchange of fire with some gunmen. During this, 'explosive devices were thrown at Israeli security forces.'
Israel rarely conducts airstrikes in the West Bank. However, during its campaign in Jenin camp earlier this year, Israel carried out helicopter and drone attacks.
