Policeman got excited after winning 1.5 crores on Dream-11, within 24 hours happiness turned into 'tension'

Dream 11 Police Inquiry: Cricket craze is at its peak these days.  Fans are enjoying the World Cup.  They are also winning lakhs of rupees from their predictions on fantasy apps.  Something similar happened with Sub Inspector Somnath Jende of Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate.  He won Rs 1.5 crore from Dream XI.  He was overjoyed after receiving this amount, but his happiness turned into tension within just 24 hours.   Actually, an inquiry has been set up against Somnath Jende.  He is now facing interrogation.  He is being asked whether he participated in such games while on duty in the police service.  Zende said- “After winning Rs 1.5 crore, yesterday he deducted Rs 60,000 on a transaction of Rs 2 lakh.  One lakh forty thousand rupees came into my account.”   The policeman says that he will use this money to repay his house loan.  He will invest the remaining half in the bank.  He will use the interest earned from this for the education of his children.   Pimpri Chinchwad ACP Satish Mane said, “The investigation has been handed over to DCP Swapna Gore and appropriate action will be taken after the report is submitted.”  Mane further said- “Can someone participate in such online games while working in the police department?  Were the rules followed in this?  Can anyone talk in the media about the money received in this way?  All this will be investigated.   Dream11 is the first gaming startup in India to be valued at more than $1 billion (approximately Rs 7,535 crore).  It previously faced legal challenges due to the similarity of fantasy gaming and betting.  Dream 11 has a user base of more than 110 million.
